“EXTREME” Rumble plates are a necessity to any stabilized construction entrance/ exit. Stabilized construction access is a defined entrance/ exit to a construction site that is put in place to reduce the tracking of sediment (dirt and mud) onto public roads by the tires of construction vehicles. Rumble plates are an effective method to reduce tracking of sediment coming out of the construction site, and Extreme Hardfacing & Welding specializes in manufacturing these rumble plates.
Extreme track-out plates are built to last. We use thick, quality steel and industrial welding wire to ensure a strong, long-lasting product.
All track-out plates are a standard 8’ wide and 10’ long. We build our track-out plates to the standard of the Caltrans stabilized construction entrance TC-1. You can view that sheet by clicking on the button below this page.
Standard Tubular Rumble Grates
Our standard track-out / rumble plate product. The grate-like design of the track-out plate is the modern, improved design of the old steel plate with angle iron track out plate design. We’ve sold thousands of this version of trackout / rumble grates all across the U.S. and they have been well-received by many customers. Definitely our most recommended and our most heavily stocked up track out plate. Ready to be delivered at any time!
- Requires little to no cleanup as dirt falls through the grated slots.
- Works effectively on most terrains (i.e. dirt, rock, gravel, asphalt, etc.)
- Easy and light to transport.
All steel tubes have welded-on caps on the ends so no dirt or water gets trapped inside.
Heavy-Duty Tubular Rumble Grates
Similar to the standard tubular grate design, but built with thicker material to provide a “military-grade” product.
Low-Profile Tubular Rumble Grates
Similar to the standard tubular grate design, but has extra tubular steel on the front and back to help smaller automobiles climb on top of the plate when it’s been placed on a flat surface such as asphalt or cement.
Steel Rumble Plates with Angle Iron
Built with a 7⁄8” steel plate with angle iron on top for a heavy-duty track-out plate. Works most effectively when placed onto a flat surface (asphalt, cement, compacted dirt or gravel etc).
- All angle iron pieces have two 45° cuts on each end to prevent any tire damage.
- Includes a lifting eye in the center of the plate for easier transportation.
Steel Rumble Plates with Channel
Built with a 7⁄8” steel plate and channel steel for a heavy-duty track-out plate. Works most effectively when placed onto a flat surface (asphalt, compacted dirt, etc).
- The channel steel is rounded-off on all corners to prevent any tire damage. Includes an interlocking feature to connect adjacent channel plates together to create a more stabilized entry.
- Includes a lifting eye in the center of the plate for easier transportation.
Anti-Skid Trench Plate
Anti-skid trench plates are standard 8′ x 10′ steel plates with tungsten carbide weld passes patterned across the top surface. These are great to cover trenches and ditches while not causing any vehicle to slip or skid on the plate. We offer roll-on anti-skid paint as well, but it is not recommended since the paint can easily wear off in a short period of time. Tungsten carbide weld passes ensure a quality, long lasting product that won’t put any vehicle at risk of skidding across the plate surface. Lifting eye threading is located at the center of the plate for convenient transportation of your anti-skid trench plates.
Tubular Rumble Grate Ramps
Tubular grate ramps are the most efficient way to fully utilize the tubular grate design on a flat surface such as concrete or asphalt. These ramps make it easy for automobiles to drive up onto your tubular grate track out plate.
- Ramps include an interlocking system with the tubular grate design, keeping both products locked together and not allowing the ramp to kick out from under the tubular grate design.
Curb Ramps
Curb ramps complete the stabilized construction entrance by giving construction vehicles an easier option to climb sidewalk curbs.
- These curb ramps feature a lifting nut welded into the center for easy transportation.
- Reinforced steel is welded to the bottom to maintain a long-lasting product that won’t bend or bow.
- Optional curb ramp clips are available. These clips hold the curb ramp in place to prevent the ramp from slipping or kicking out when vehicles are driving over them.
